Creggs v Sligo in Junior Cup Saturday night

33

After a very big Connacht League win last Saturday night in Creggs, the First team will face a much stronger opposition in Creggs on this Saturday night at 7pm.
The draw pits Creggs against Sligo RFC in the first Round of the Connacht Junior Cup, who defeated the Village at the Semi-Final stage in Sligo last season

In addition to an all-clear from injury for the 20 players in the squad last Saturday, James Brandon (flu), Tom Oates (holiday) and Michael Fleming (injured) could be back in contention for this game.

The game will be played under the lights on the new all-weather pitch, with a big crowd guaranteed for the expected most competitive match of the season so far. Come along and enjoy the occasion on Saturday evening.

A Special Mention to Creggs U13 player Callum Clarke who showed great bravery and calmness recently and saved the life of his grandfather following a near fatal incident on Killina Lake, last Thursday evening.

A Hero among us, well done to Callum and a speedy recovery to his Grandfather Sean.

Great to see rugby back on The Green today with our U16 girls welcoming Galwegians to Creggs and coming out on top in their league encounter.

Sunshine and showers , and a good crowd in attendance and plenty of smiling faces , roll on the rest of the season .
