GALWAY LINEOUT BALL

18

It will be a night of glitz, glamour and great entertainment when The Galway Lineout Ball returns to the Radisson Hotel next month. Best of all, it is for a worthy charity. The entire proceeds from the Ball will go to the IRFU Charitable Trust which was formed in 1978 to assist severely injured rugby players in their everyday lives, and to help restore their confidence and independence. There are currently 33 seriously injured players registered with the Charitable Trust in Ireland, most of whom are wheelchair bound and have some form of permanent paralysis. The support provided by the Trust takes many forms and includes financial assistance for medical, nursing and caring expenses, home alterations, education and training costs, provision of wheelchairs and specialised equipment together with motor vehicles and vehicle conversion costs. The Trust also maintains regular contact with each injured player and their families.

Tickets cost €75 and that includes a pre-dinner drinks reception, his or hers gift kindly sponsored by Fat Tonys and Shelley’s Health & Beauty and a 4 course meal. This will be followed by musical entertainment by the Cosmonauts and special guests on the night will be Mick Galwey and Brent Pope.

Joe Corless Formalwear are offering a special on tuxedo hire for €50 on presentation of your ticket and the Radisson Hotel Galway are also offering accommodation for the night for the special price of €120 for a single room or €140 for a double room. This will include breakfast and parking. We will also have spot prizes and some really fantastic raffle prizes to be won on the night.

So for anybody looking for an alternative Valentines weekend for singles and couples alike as well as supporting a great cause while having a fantastic weekend in Galway, the Lineout Ball takes place on February 16th, 2013 and tickets are available now by calling: 087
