POOL 1:

  1. Leinster, (Pro 12 & Amlin Winners),
  2. Northampton, (Premiership runners-up),
  3. Ospreys, (Fifth in the Pro-12)
  4. Castres. (Finished 4th in the French Top 14 League but then Won French Top 14 – beat Toulon 19-14 in Final & Clermont 25-9 in the Semi).

POOL 2:

  1. Toulon (Heineken Cup Champions / 2nd. Top 14 League & Finalists)
  2. Cardiff (9th. in Pro-12)
  3. Glasgow (3rd. in Pro-12)
  4. Exeter Chiefs (6th. in English Premiership)

POOL 3:

  1. Toulouse, (3rd. in French Top 14 – Beaten in Semi by Toulon by 24-9))
  2. Saracens, (Heineken Cups Semis & Topped Premiership + Semi-Finalists)
  3. Connacht, (Best ever 8th in Pro-12, 8 wins/1 draw/+ 3 others lost by 4 or less pts)
  4. Zebres, (Bottom of Pro-12)

POOL 4:

  1. Clermont, (Heineken Cups Finalists + Topped French League)
  2. Harlequins (Premiership Semi-finalists + Anglo-Welsh Cup Winners)
  3. Scarlets (Fourth in the Pro 12 – top Welsh team)
  4. Racing Metro 5th. in French Top 14 (+ Now with Johnny Sexton).

POOL 5:

  1. Ulster, (Pro 12 Finalists / Heineken Cups Quarter-finalists)
  2. Leicester Tigers, (Premiership Winners +Heineken Cup quarter-finalists),

All 3 teams in action this weekend.
First up was U18s who played A training game Friday with Corrib. A very worthwhile exercise and many thanks to our hosts for making it such an enjoyable evening.
Saturday evening brought Creggs Rfc to Tuam where firstly u14s locked horns. Trys from Ailbhe Gannon,Juno Hayes,Doireann Clancy and Ceoladh Lydon were the topping on a fine team performance for this continually improving group. Strong performances too from Kyri Ruane,Louise Seoige,Sarah Smith and Heidi Watson.
Next up was the U16s. This was a cracker of a game where despite the best efforts of captain Hannah Clarke to drag her side into the game Creggs proved too strong on the day. Experienced players Beibhinn Gleeson,Keanah Irons and Charlotte O Grady continually offered themselves in both attack and defence but the powerful relentless ball carrying Creggs girls were deserving victors.

A great evenings Rugby tonight when Creggs Girls U14 and U16 travelled to play Tuam/Oughterard in Tuam in their first games of the season.

The U14's who had a lot of players playing their first ever game went down to a strong Tuam/Oughterard team but put in a great performance and then the U16"s Girls came out on top in a tough encounter against the same opposition.
