Sligo RFC. 7     Creggs RFC. 35

Creggs U14’s travelled to Sligo on Sunday morning in an U14 league came and came away with the points in a 35-7 victory in a tougher game than the final scoreline suggests and remain unbeaten after four rounds of the league.

15 Points from the boot of Shane Purcell and one try from Niall Cunniffe 3 tries from James Brandon two of which came in the final 5 minutes sealed a hard fought win.

Creggs Travel away again next Sunday to Castlebar in round 5 of the league, time TBC

Creggs RFC were honoured today with a visit from Ireland and Lions star Gordon Darcy. Beautiful weather and a large socially distanced crowd welcomed Gordon and his brother Ian to Creggs. He is on day two of a four day 850km charity cycle raising funds for Barretstown.
Gordon now a successful children's book author had many young fans waiting for him with copies of his books for signing. Gordon Darcy complimented Creggs RFC on the fabulous new development (dressing rooms and gym) which is under construction and the 4g pitch which is the only one of its kind in Connacht.
He also commended the policy which sees the facility used by other local sports clubs.
We wish Gordon well as he endeavors to complete his journey back to Dublin at the weekend.
A legend in every sense of the word.
