Galwegians RFC 27, Creggs RFC 19.

After a win and a draw in their first two Connacht League games, Creggs Under18.5’s travelled to Galway minus a couple of regulars last Sunday morning. They put in a very strong performance against league favourites Galwegians.

It was converted by Cian Glennon to reduce the deficit to 12-7. The home team managed to get in for a try just on the stroke of half-time to take a 17-7 half time lead.

Creggs began the second half very well and great work by Danny Hill, Darragh Kiernan and Tiernan O Sullivan led to a penalty which Creggs kicked to the corner and then after 5 phases Ciaran Corcoran got in for a try which Cian Glennon converted to leave the Creggs lads only 3 points behind.

Galwegians kicked a penalty to extend their lead to 20-14 and then got in for a try which they converted. Creggs never gave up and got back on the offensive and Jack keegan was just held up short. Lorcan Maher and David Gaquin moved the ball wide for Jack Neenan to score in the corner to leave the final score Galwegians 27 Creggs 19.
