Creggs RFC 43 Castlebar 5

Creggs RFC U16’s qualified for the Connacht Division 1 League semi final with a 43-5 win over Castlebar RFC on Saturday night. Played under lights in extremely cold conditions both teams must be commended in their attempts to keep the game flowing even during blizzard type conditions at times during the game. Creggs had tries through James Brandon, Niall Cunniffe and Ronan Dowd in the first half and a conversion from Shane Purcell left the half time score 17-5. Playing with the wind in the second half further tries from Adam Canny, Ronan Dowd (2) and Jason Hoare and 3 conversions from Ronan Dowd completed the scoring. The U16’s will have a home semi final however the line up for these Semi Finals has not yet been completed with a couple of more game yet to be completed in the group.
