Connacht Under-13 League Division 1:

Creggs RFC 20, Corinthians RFC 10,

On a beautiful day for playing Rugby, Creggs Under-13 Boys had a terrific win over a gallant Corinthians side.

In a game played in a very sporting manner, the two sides were locked at 10 points a piece at half time. The Creggs try scorers were James Bligh and Cathal Maloney.

In the second-half, it remained very evan. Then with 5 minutes to go, a huge drive by the Creggs pack resulted in Luca Cormican crossing the line to go 5 points ahead.

From the kick-off, Corinthians were camped on the Creggs line for the next 2 minutes until a breakout and and a Creggs try after a run the length of the pitch by Leo Flynn sealed the first win of the season- Creggs 20, Corinthians 10.

Creggs Rugby: Mason Noone, Dara Fahy, James Bligh, Eoin Kelleher, Gerard Healy, Mark McDonnell, Ciaran Mulry, Luca Cormican, Luke Kilcommons, Cathal Maloney, Dylan Carroll, Jamie Lohan, Leo Flynn, Cillian Hussey, Cian McLoughlin, Matthew Beirne.

Hard luck to our U18's who travelled to Corinthians RFC today and came up just short losing 19-15. With injuries and lads unavailable we travelled with a very small squad but the boys showed great pride and commitment coming back from 19~3 down at half time to narrowly lose. A super bunch of players who have a very promising season ahead. ... See MoreSee Less
