Connacht Under-17 League
Sligo RFC 0, Creggs RFC 12.
Creggs travelled to Sligo RFC last Sunday and came away with a good win. Two magnificent tries from David Gacquin and a conversion from Mark Dowd settled this encounter.
The superb defensive performance was very pleasing, holding the Sligo team scoreless for the full game. Shane Connaughton, Tyrese Etete and Mark Kilcommons lead the tackle count. Lee Kilcoyne was also impressive in defence.
Darren Gately’s immense kicking from hand put Sligo under severe pressure and provided Creggs with excellent field position throughout the game.
Creggs Under-17s play Buccaneers RFC in a challenge at The Green on Saturday as part of the official opening of the new development. They play Monivea in Creggs in their next league fixture the weekend after.
