Creggs were missing a number of their back line for this fixture and were forced into a reshuffle with players playing out of position and in truth they struggled in the first half especially with numerous mistakes and handling errors making it a disappointing first half where they held a 10-5 advantage after two tries from Mairtin Quinn.

The second half produced a much better attacking performance from the Creggs lads with up front Danny Arnold, Amuray Duarte, Killian Higgins and John Martin especially prominent and the introduction of Shane Purcell seemed to bring more fluency to the back line. Tim Lambe and Aodha Hession now beginning to stretch the opposition, with
Eoghan McDonnell and Kaylem Hollian making some good ground with ball in hand.

Creggs scored 4 tries in the second half with Conor Rohan (2), Thomas O Brien and Tom Farrell getting over and two conversions from Mark Purcell completed the scoring.

Creggs Under-18.5’s next game is home to Ballinrobe RFC on the weekend of 16th of December.

Well done to Creggs RFC'S U18's representatives v Munster in UL today, Ciaran Purcell, Lee Kilcoyne and Eoin Kelly.

Great to see the lads playing today, not having played any game since March 2019 due to the lockdown restrictions.

Creggs RFC were honoured today with a visit from Ireland and Lions star Gordon Darcy. Beautiful weather and a large socially distanced crowd welcomed Gordon and his brother Ian to Creggs. He is on day two of a four day 850km charity cycle raising funds for Barretstown.
Gordon now a successful children's book author had many young fans waiting for him with copies of his books for signing. Gordon Darcy complimented Creggs RFC on the fabulous new development (dressing rooms and gym) which is under construction and the 4g pitch which is the only one of its kind in Connacht.
He also commended the policy which sees the facility used by other local sports clubs.
We wish Gordon well as he endeavors to complete his journey back to Dublin at the weekend.
A legend in every sense of the word.
