Creggs first team played away to Dunmore RFC on Sunday. A slow start changed pace when the Dunmore winger received a straight red card. After swapping penalties Brian Diffley played a Captain’s role scoring a try before half time. The second half started better with Ronan Cahill getting Creggs second try converted by Mark Purcell. Now leading 15 to 3, a neat chip by outhalf Brian Cleary left Eoghan Coyle using his strength and speed to score a third try in the corner. Creggs relaxed a bit too early and having given away a penalty inside the 22, Dunmore ran the ball scoring 7 points to bring the score to 20-10. This was the final score of the game. Creggs were happy with the win but realise there is still fine tuning required by the team.
