After a defeat to Buccaneers RFC last Saturday night in Athlone, Creggs will play their last Connacht League game of the season away to Sligo RFC on Sunday next at 2.30.
With Connemara RFC declared League champions and Creggs clear runners-up, there isn’t anything at stake this Sunday, the ninth weekend in-a-row of competitive action. This game may provide the opportunity to rest some and rotate other players with a view to the Junior Cup Final on March 24th.
Galwegians RFC are already relegated and Sligo are fighting it out with three other teams next weekend, as mathematically they try to avoid a relegation play-off.
