ADULT TEAM TRAINING

This weekend, the First Team squad, Development squad and Under-20’s train at 8.15 pm on Friday evening on the 4G Pitch

YOUTH RUGBY

Two great Cup wins for Creggs Under-15 Boys teams

Connacht Under-15 Connacht Cup

Creggs RFC ‘White’ 26, NUIG RFC 10.

On Sunday evening the Creggs Under-15s ‘White’ Team hosted Buccaneers in the Connacht Under-15 Cup.

Captained by Thomas king, this highly motivated and organised team, took everything that a fancied Buccaneers side threw at them.

The Creggs half-backs of Ben Donnellan & Brian Keegan ran the game very well, with some fine tactical kicking and passing. Tommy and Conor Morris were under every ball that was kicked back at them, one such catch resulting in a silky 50 metres run by Tommie Morris to score Creggs only try.
Vice-Captain Brian Keegan kicked the conversion which was the eventual winning margin.

Some fantastic defensive work from Nathan Halligan, Cian Esicio, Matthew O’Brien to name but a few resulted in Creggs recording a two point win, and making two wins from two Connacht Cup for the Creggs Under-15 teams.

Next up for the Creggs Under-15 ‘White’ squad, is a Cup game v Galweigans at home in Creggs this weekend – details TBC. Check the Club website (www.CreggsRugby.ie) or Creggs RFC Facebook for updates on this fixture.

If they play the same as last time, this selection can win again. Please support the lads this weekend.

Very impressive away Cup win for Under-16 Girls

Connacht Under-16 Girls Cup

Sligo RFC 5, Creggs 24.

The Creggs Under-16 Girls played the Quarter Final of the Connacht Under-16 Cup.

It was a very tight affair for the first half, but the Creggs Girls proved the stronger in the second half.
