Creggs senior teams are back in training for the last month, with good numbers.
Pre-Season Training each Tuesday at 8pm and Saturday at 6pm.

The First team open their competitive season with a tough home game v newly promoted to J1, Tuam RFC in the Cawley Cup, which we won last year for the first time. This game is the weekend of September 1st. – just over two weeks time, and is a Quarter-Final.

The Development team start their competitive season a week later with a home game v Carrick in the Curley Cup. This will also be a Quarter-Final.

New and returning players always welcome in Creggs and there are lots of enquiries – many of those from players that haven’t played rugby before.

Creggs go top in Connacht Under-20’s Competition

Rugby is delighted to be opening up again soon and yesterday in Creggs RFC we had a unique presentation organised by Anthony Cahill from Cahill's Supervalu Castlerea.
Dr John Dillon from Castlerea proudly wore the green of Connacht back in the day and one of the his many achievements was to be part of a winning Connacht side against Ulster in Belfast in 1958.
When Connacht beat Ulster at Ravenhill in October 2018 there were two Roscommon players Denis Buckley and Jack Carty on the pitch that night, winning at Ravenhill for the first time since Dr John Dillon and his team mates some 60 years earlier thus joining a very elite group. Denis and Jack proudly presented Dr Dillon with a framed memento of his victory and a number 12 Connacht jersey as worn by Bundee Aki.
Owing to Covid 19 restrictions only a small number of people could attend including members of Dr Dillon's family. Creggs RFC was delighted to host the presentation and very appreciative of Anthony Cahill who organised the occasion and the beautiful framed memorabilia of the 1958 match.
