Good Luck to all our players lining out for Connacht
Good luck to our Under-16 Players, DJ Hession, Ciaran Purcell, Edimar Fimho and Eoin Kelly who are part of the Connacht Under-16 Squad travelling to play Munster in the University of Limerick on Wednesday
Good luck also to our Under-17 Players, Shane Connaughton, David Gaquin and Mark Dowd who are part of the Connacht Under-17 squad also playing v Munster next Sunday.
Well done to our two players Jack Tucker and Mark Purcell involved in the Under-18 Inter-Pro Series in the University of Limerick last Saturday. The two Creggs men contributed in no small way to Connachts 36-14 win over Ulster.
A try each from Jack and Mark in the second half and 11 points from the boot of Mark Purcell, gave the Creggs lads a total of 21 of the 36 Connacht points.
The Under-18’s are staying in UL for 10 days and they play a Leinster side who had a big win over Munster last Saturday on Wednesday coming at 5pm in UL.
Hard luck to our Under-19 Players Tom Farrell, Aodha Hession and Jack Keegan who were part of the Connacht Under-19 Squad who lost out 23-13 to Munster in Thomond Park last Friday night.
A try by Munster just on the stroke of half-time and one with the last play of the game proved the difference between the two teams. The lads play Leinster at home in the Sportsground in Galway at 2.30pm next Wednesday.
Hard luck to Creggs Under-18 girls player Hannah Coen who has been picked at number 8 for their opening iInter-Pro game against Leinster last Saturdaya in Barnhall RFC. Unfortunately for Hannah, she picked up a hamstring injury in training late last week and she was unable to play v Leinster. We wish Hannah a very speedy recovery.
Creggs girls rugby was only relaunched last season and it is an amazing achievement for Hannah, who only took up the game last year playing with Creggs RFC and the Convent of Mercy team in Roscommon.
