SENIOR Rugby

FIRST TEAM away V Castlebar RFC

After a weekend off, Creggs First Team return to Connacht League Action – the team play Castlebar RFC away on Saturday evening at 7.30pm. Creggs First’s defeated Westport RFC in Round 1.

DEVELOPMENT TEAM away V Corinthians RFC

Also after a weekend off, Creggs Senior Development Team return to Connacht League Action – the team play Corinthians RFC away on Sunday afternoon – time to be confirmed. Creggs Development defeated Oughterard RFC n Round 1.

YOUTH Rugby – BOYS

YOUTH Team Fixtures

Creggs Under-15’s host Westport RFC in the Connacht Under-15 A League next Saturday at 1.30pm in Creggs. Please support the lads.

Creggs Under-13’s travel to play Ballina RFC in their first League outing of the season next Saturday at 1.30pm in Ballina.

YOUTH Team’s Training 

All Training in Creggs for:

 Creggs Under-13’s, on Wednesday night at 7pm. 

 Creggs Under-14’s on  Wednesday night at 7pm. and Saturday at 12 Noon.    

 Creggs Under-15’s train Friday evening at 6.30pm. 

 Creggs Under-16’s on Wednesday night at 7pm.

 Creggs Under-17’s and Under-18.5’s train Friday night at 7pm. 

  Players new to rugby and returning players always welcome at all age groups. 

Youth Team Registration/Membership continues at training 

Registration for all Youth Teams will continue at training this and next week. 

YOUTH Rugby – GIRLS

Under-14 Girls

Creggs Under-14 girls team play their first game in the Connacht Girl’s League game on Wednesday evening in Creggs (under the lights) v Claremorris RFC. Kick-off at 7.30pm.

Best of luck to the girls in their first game – please support them!

“Give it a Try Day”

We will run a “Give It A Try Day” on this Saturday afternoon (6th. October) at 1.30pm in Creggs. All girls interested can contact Dave Purcell on 089 7000547 or Micheal Glennon through the teachers/coaches in the schools. 

Girls Under-14’s Training every Monday at 7pm in Creggs. New Players always welcome – no previous experience necessary. Great fun!

Very good win for St. Mary’s College, Ballygar

The St. Mary’s College, Ballygar Junior Rugby team who defeated St. Jarlath’s, Tuam, by 12-7 in their Connacht League game last week at Creggs Rugby Club.

Creggs MINI Rugby

Creggs Under-10’s play in Aviva Blitz in Galway

The Creggs Under-10’s are away in Galway on Saturday at Aviva Blitz in Corinthians RFC grounds.  Players to be there at 9.45am, and have a great time.

Mini Rugby continues this weekend:

All other Creggs MINI Rugby teams (Under-6s; Under-7s; Under-8s; Under-9’s; Under-11’s; and Under-12’s) are training continues this Saturday (29th of September) at 11am in Creggs. New players always very welcome.

Registration for all Minis and Youth Teams will continue this Saturday morning from 11am to mid-day in the Clubhouse.

 We welcome new players for all Boys and Girls age groups. Come along and enjoy the fun as you learn the basics of the game.

Parents interested in starting coaching

Parents interested in starting coaching boys or girls teams are also always welcome – please contact Dave Purcell; Aengus Oates, Shane Flemming or Graham Curran. Remember, no previous rugby coaching experience is necessary to start.
