Creggs defend Cawley Cup in season opener on Sunday

The First team open their competitive season with a home game v Tuam RFC in the Cawley Cup, which Creggs won last year for the first time.
This game is currently scheduled for 11.30am on this Sunday morning. Please come along and support the team, for what will hopefully be another very good season.

Development Team play Carrick RFC

The Creggs Development team start their competitive season a week later (weekend of 7th.-8th.) with a home game v Carrick RFC in the Curley Cup.

Senior teams Training

This week, the Creggs senior teams (Under-20’s, First’s and Development squads) are training at 8pm on this Wednesday night and 8.15pm on Friday night.
New and returning players always welcome in Creggs – and no previous rugby experience necessary, as full coaching available.

Senior players barbecue was a great success

Creggs adult teams (Under-20’s, First’s and Development squads) had a barbecue after training last Saturday night. The food and the craic was ninety!

Connacht Under-20’s games in Creggs Friday evening

Creggs Under-20’s continue to lead the Connacht Under-20’s 10’s competition after a good 22-14 victory over NUIG in Creggs on Friday night last.

Creggs scored two tries from Conor Rohan, and one each from Brian Diffley and Shane Purcell. Well done to all the players and coaches for a very good performance.

NEXT ROUND:
The next Round of the competition is due to be on weekend of the 7th of September.

Score Prediction Draw for World Cup opener v Scotland

The club has a Score Prediction Cards out now for Ireland’s opening match v Scotland in the World Cup in Japan next month. It’s just €2 a line or three for €5. Please support.

Creggs Under-18.5’s Tour a great success

Creggs Under-18.5’s travelled to Ennis last weekend to play a training game against the home team. The lads had a great pre-season workout as part of their preparations for the start of their competitive season in mid-September.
Over the weekend the lads took surfing lessons and played beach rugby, so a great weekend was had by all. Thanks to the coaches and players involved for making it a great success.

Creggs Under-12 Girls lined-out in the Sportsground

Creggs Under-12 girts travelled to the Sportsground on Saturday last, where guard of honour for the Connacht Under-18’s girls V Munster and the Senior Womens game between the two provinces. They also played a game V Corinthians RFC girls at half time. Well done to all concerned.

GIRLS TEAM TRAINING
Creggs Girls Rugby Training on Monday nights for Under-14 at 7pm plus Under-16 and Under-18 Girls at 7.30pm in Creggs. New players always very welcome.

Mini Rugby Returns on Saturday September 14th.
