This Week Fixtures


Creggs Minis:

Creggs Mini’s U10/U11 and U12 will train in Creggs this Saturday at 11am. Creggs U8’s and U9’s will take part in their Connacht Blitz in Castlebar next Saturday. A text will go out to all players with times. Creggs Mini’s boys and girls will finish up on Saturday 9th April with an away blitz in Claremorris on the same day Creggs u10’s will take part in the Aviva blitz which takes place in Ballina.

Youth Rugby:

Creggs U13’s will play Tuam in a friendly this Wednesday night in Creggs with a 7.30pm kick off to prepare for their Plate Quarter final against Castlebar next Sunday away in Castlebar with a 12pm kick off.

Creggs U15’s Plate Quarter final is away to Ballina RFC next Saturday at 11.30am in Ballina. Training continues Friday night at 7pm.

Creggs U17’s play NUIG in Creggs next Sunday at 4pm in the semi final of the Plate competition. Training Wednesday night at 8pm.

Creggs U14’s Division 1 league semi final against Monivea has been moved from next weekend to Wednesday 6th of April away in Monivea with a 7.30pm Kick off. Training continues Friday night at 7pm

All 3 teams in action this weekend.
First up was U18s who played A training game Friday with Corrib. A very worthwhile exercise and many thanks to our hosts for making it such an enjoyable evening.
Saturday evening brought Creggs Rfc to Tuam where firstly u14s locked horns. Trys from Ailbhe Gannon,Juno Hayes,Doireann Clancy and Ceoladh Lydon were the topping on a fine team performance for this continually improving group. Strong performances too from Kyri Ruane,Louise Seoige,Sarah Smith and Heidi Watson.
Next up was the U16s. This was a cracker of a game where despite the best efforts of captain Hannah Clarke to drag her side into the game Creggs proved too strong on the day. Experienced players Beibhinn Gleeson,Keanah Irons and Charlotte O Grady continually offered themselves in both attack and defence but the powerful relentless ball carrying Creggs girls were deserving victors.

A great evenings Rugby tonight when Creggs Girls U14 and U16 travelled to play Tuam/Oughterard in Tuam in their first games of the season.

The U14's who had a lot of players playing their first ever game went down to a strong Tuam/Oughterard team but put in a great performance and then the U16"s Girls came out on top in a tough encounter against the same opposition.
